The truth is, I wasn't always a hot-shot in the kitchen. In fact, far from it. When I began cooking, I could barely put together a full meal without screwing something up.
Like many people, I struggled with my weight and tried every diet under the sun. Low-carb, low-fat, juice cleanses, meal replacement shakes - you name it, I tried it. And every single time, I'd lose a few pounds only to gain them back (plus more) as soon as I went back to "normal" eating.
The turning point came when I realized that the problem wasn't me - it was the approach. Diets fail because they're based on restriction and deprivation. They ask you to give up the foods you love, which is simply not sustainable long-term.
So I started experimenting in my kitchen. What if I could recreate all my favorite comfort foods using real, whole ingredients? What if healthy eating could actually be delicious and satisfying?
That's when everything changed. I discovered that with the right ingredients and techniques, you really can have your cake and eat it too. My family started eating healthier without even realizing it. The weight came off naturally. My energy soared. And best of all - we were all happier at mealtime.

Today, I'm on a mission to help other families discover what I learned: that healthy eating doesn't require sacrifice. Through The Real Food Challenge, I've helped over 800 families transform their relationship with food.
